Metahuman

Character Design

A realistic male Metahuman character was developed using Unreal Engine's MetaHuman Creator and Metahuman Editor. The process involved detailed customization of facial features, hairstyles, and expressions to achieve a lifelike appearance. High resolution textures, including detailed skin pores, facial stubble, and natural lip coloring, were applied to enhance realism. Within Unreal Engine, physically based materials, realistic eye shaders, and advanced hair rendering techniques were implemented to simulate natural lighting interaction. Facial rigging and blend shapes were configured to support a wide range of expressive motion. The final character is presented through cinematic turnarounds and close up renders, showcasing the visual fidelity, optimized materials, and seamless engine integration.

Challenge

Achieving high realism while maintaining performance optimization was challenging, especially in facial detailing, hair rendering, and lighting balance within the engine.

Objective

To create a realistic, expressive male Metahuman character using Unreal Engine, focusing on lifelike facial detail, textures, and animation ready features for cinematic use.

A fully rigged, realistic Metahuman character was completed with high quality textures and materials, ready for integration into cinematic sequences and real time applications.
